What is Inconel Alloy
Inconel is a group of nickel-chromium-based superalloys that offer excellent resistance to high temperature and corrosion. The most common Inconel alloys are Inconel 600 and Inconel 625.
Inconel 600 is a solid-solution alloy that is composed of 72% nickel and 14% chromium. It offers excellent resistance to oxidation and corrosion in high-temperature environments.
Inconel 625 is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy that offers excellent resistance to corrosion and oxidation, as well as high strength and toughness. It also has excellent resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in both reducing and oxidizing environments.
